On a mission to retain joy in my life.

Learned that we all possess it within, but we allow

others and our ego to rob it and place it in dormancy.

Life is fleeting. So I choose to relinquish my bad habits,

grudges, and though it may hurt in the beginning,

I choose to release toxicity and leave room for

peace and tranquility within. I choose not to be afraid

of alone time because that’s when I’ll get the opportunity

to delve within and familiarize with me, myself and I.

I’ll make a concerted effort to spend my time wisely

and though I’ll remain open,

I’ll guard my heart against those who really show me

repeatedly that they aren’t for me.
